Big Calender view was created by jasimo
Hi, I am using icagenda for a while now and it fits perfectly for me.
What I am missing now is a calender view, I know about the possibility to have one as a module somewhere at the joomla site.
But my question is if there is a way to have a bigger monthly/weekly view were I can see all appointments on a day.
I think JEvents got something like that (see attachment).

Is it possible or planned to implement someting like that?

Hello,

Well, some options are planned around this later in the future (nothing clearly planned for now).

Today, you can maybe do this with a few custom css.

Not tested, but there something that could work :
- Create a new module calendar in a "fake" position (which one does not exist in your site template)
- Create a new article to use to display the calendar module as a main content
- Integrate the created module inside the article content using {loadposition my-fake-position-name}
- Then add such custom css to the page (you can use the iCagenda Custom CSS option in global options of iCagenda in General Settings tab) :
.icevent .spanEv, .icmulti .spanEv {
    display: block !important;
    pointer-events: none;
}

This css code will display tooltip content inside date box.
You will too to play a bit with css to add some custom css declarations for a better styling of days depending on your site template.

Hope this helps ?

Best regards,
Cyril

Thanks for your support on this.
I tried to create a module with a fake position but it looks like that joomla doesn´t accept my fake position.
Anyway, I think it would be a greate enhancement of icagenda to have such a big calender in a future release.
Do you think this could be done?

Hello,

Which name did you enter for your custom position ?
When you said Joomla does not accept it, do you mean in the module option ? If yes, enter name and press enter ley to validate the new position ;-)

Hope this helps ?

Regards,
Cyril

Note: yes the development for such a functionnality could be a future improvement, but today too much other developments in process, so can't give any deadline for this one ;-)

got it, thx for the hint about pressing enter for the position.;-)
After adding the custom css to icagenda I saw what you mean and it goes to the right direction.
Unfortinately it also influence also my "small" calendar.

Hello Jan,

So, before each class, add the module ID (ic-calendar- + ID) ;-)

Like this :
#ic-calendar-87 .icevent .spanEv, #ic-calendar-87 .icmulti .spanEv {
    display: block !important;
    pointer-events: none;
}

It may works to specify those css only for one module ;-)

Regards,
Cyril
