First of all, thank your for this wunderfull product.

I want to suggest an improvement for the GDPR.

Proposal:
(Optional) Checkbox for the privacy policy during an event registration. Without mark the checkbox the registration can not be send.

Backend:
- Checkbox for the data protection declaration - active / inactive.
Example 1: if you only have registrations for EU citizens and / or anonymous users the Checkbox is set to "Active"
Example 2: if only regsitered user which have to declare the pricacy policy at the registration process for the website, the webmaster can set the Checkbox to "Inactive".

- Text for pricing policy.
You can see this text on our website when you send an e-mail to a contact or on the registration form: "By using this form you agree to the storage and processing of your data".
Text should be configurable in the backend.

- Link to an article or text with the privacy policy

Frontend - when registering for an event
Once visibility is configured in the backend, the user sees on the frontend:
Privacy Policy * Checkbox * Text: By using this form you agree to the storage and processing of your data. You can read our pricing policy here (here is the link to the text / article) of the privacy policy.

Thank you and best regards
Gernot

Hello,

Isn't what the option "Terms & Conditions" already does in iCagenda ?...

(and since 3.7.0, the consent is now stored in the new database table #__icagenda_user_actions to comply with GDPR).

Cyril

Latest version : 3.7.18 (New install package, PHP8 & J3.10 ready)

We recommend every user to keep your iCagenda updated.
Don't forget to have your Joomla!™ up-to-date!

Dear Cyril,

...Isn't what the option "Terms & Conditions" already does in iCagenda ?...

These are two different things
Terms and Conditions refers to the event.
Example: it is up to you to look for your safety - or - you don't get a refund of your money in case the event do not happen.

GDPR - this refers what the website owner is doing with your data.

I solved this problem with a customized field (checkbox) at registration and the contact formular.

I hope, i gets a little bit clearer. In my company i work in the GDPR project group. It was not so easy to get a deeper understanding.

Best regards
Gernot

In Global Options, you have 2 different terms options.

Registration tab : Terms & Conditions
- used for Registration form only

Submit event tab : Terms of Service
- used only for frontend submit an event form

I really don't know what your talking about here, as Registration form already has its own checkbox system for form...
As you can use the built-in terms & condition to select your Privacy article or write you own terms using iCagenda option...

And since 3.7.0, the string used "I agree to Terms and conditions" was replaced by "I agree to the Terms & Conditions of this website and i give consent to the processing and storing of the submitted information."

See demo site: demo.joomlic.com/3-intellegerem-2017/registration

Dear Cyril,

sorry for confusion. You are right. In the demo I see the checkbox under the Terms. This should be enough for the pricacy statement. I have the possibility to change the Terms, use an article etc.

Let's forget this Improvement.

Best regards

Ok! ;-)

So, the already "terms" options of iCagenda are enough!

Regards,
Cyril

TIP: you can too change the text for button by using the core Joomla override system (icagenda.joomlic.com/docs/documentation/...joomla-administrator)
And the string used for "Terms & Conditions" is COM_ICAGENDA_REGISTRATION_CONSENT_TERMS_LABEL ;-)

Note: did you get my email with 3.7.1-dev1 attached ? (about Gravatar)
